DDLA Sports Farm is where sports, education, and community come together — built by a pro catcher who believes character is built the same way a swing is: one rep at a time.
Luis Ramon Arzeno played professionally in the Philadelphia Phillies organization from 2006 to 2009 — working his way from the Gulf Coast League to Advanced A with the Clearwater Threshers, then on to Gigantes del Cibao in the Dominican winter league. Behind the plate he learned what he now teaches: preparation, reading the game, and leading on every pitch.
Today he pours that same energy into developing athletes on and off the field — with a passion for mentorship and performance training, focused on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and discipline in every athlete he works with.
Four seasons in the Phillies farm system — a catcher and first baseman with a rock-solid defensive reputation.
Begins his pro career in the Gulf Coast League with the Philadelphia organization.
Splits the season across the GCL Phillies, Lakewood BlueClaws, and Williamsport Crosscutters — hitting .357 at Lakewood.
Moves up to the Clearwater Threshers and posts a .975 fielding percentage in 43 games behind the plate, then suits up for Gigantes del Cibao.
Everything learned as a pro now shapes the next generation in Holopaw, Florida.
Any academy can throw batting practice. At DDLA, athletes also feed animals, care for horses, fish the ponds, and learn that living things demand consistency — rain or shine, motivated or not.
That's the DDLA edge: discipline you can't fake, built through real responsibility.
Baseball fields, real training reps, and the farm life that makes DDLA one of a kind.
